Plain-language version: book with an advance, carry ID, treat the boat kindly, and weather has the final say on the water. The detail is below.
Bookings and confirmation
Bookings are made on WhatsApp (+91 70259 31999) or by phone. Your booking is confirmed only when the advance payment is received and we send you a written confirmation with the boat, date, package and price. Quotes are valid for the date they are issued — rates change with season and availability.
Payments
An advance confirms the boat; the balance is paid at boarding, before the cruise begins. The confirmed written quote is the full price — there are no extra charges beyond what it lists.
Boarding, check-in and check-out
Overnight cruises board at about 12 noon and end by about 9 am the next day; day cruises run about 11 am to 5 pm. Exact times are in your confirmation. Please reach the Alleppey jetty on time — delayed boarding can shorten the cruise, and the fare is not adjusted for late arrival. Guests must carry valid government photo ID at boarding.
Private and shared cruises
On a private booking the whole boat is reserved for your group. On a shared cruise you reserve one or more bedrooms; the lounge, dining and deck areas are shared with other guests, and the route and timings are common to the boat.
Food and preferences
All meals in your package are cooked on board to a set Kerala menu. Tell us dietary preferences (veg/non-veg, allergies, spice level) on WhatsApp before the cruise and the kitchen will adjust where possible.
Conduct and safety on board
Please follow the crew's safety instructions at all times. Children must be supervised by an adult everywhere on the boat. Swimming in the backwaters is not part of the package and is at your own risk. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Damage to the boat or its fittings caused by a guest is chargeable at cost.
Weather and operations
Cruises operate subject to weather and the instructions of local authorities. In rough weather the captain may change the route, shorten the cruise or keep the boat moored — safety decisions are final. If we cancel a cruise for weather or operational reasons, our cancellation policy applies (full refund or free reschedule).
Our responsibility, and its limits
We run licensed, maintained boats with experienced crew and take reasonable care throughout your cruise. We are not responsible for loss of personal valuables on board, or for delays and cancellations caused by events beyond our control (weather, strikes, authority orders, breakdowns despite maintenance). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the booking.
The legal bits
